Terms of Service

Athlos organizes skill-based tournament competitions for traders. We track, score, and rank trading activity that participants carry out on third-party platforms, and we distribute prizes based on published tournament rules.

Athlos is not:

• a prediction market, exchange, broker, or trading venue — no trades are placed, hosted, or executed on Athlos;
• a custodian — we never hold your trading funds or control your wallets;
• an investment adviser — nothing on the Service is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

All trading happens on third-party platforms (such as Polymarket) under your own accounts and wallets, at your own risk, and subject to those platforms' own terms.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that participating in skill-based tournaments with crypto entry fees, and trading on third-party platforms, is lawful where you live. Do not use the Service where it is prohibited.
• You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions or located in a sanctioned jurisdiction.
• We may decline, suspend, or close accounts at our discretion to protect the integrity of the Service.

• You authenticate with a Solana wallet and choose a username. You are responsible for safeguarding your wallets and private keys; we can never recover them for you.
• To compete, you must verify ownership of the trading wallet you use on the third-party platform. You may only register wallets you own and control.
• Your payout wallet is set by you and used for prize payments. You are solely responsible for its accuracy — payments sent to the wallet you provided are final.
• Usernames, registered wallet addresses, and tournament results are public by design.

• Each tournament's rules — entry fee, schedule, eligible markets, scoring method, and prize structure — are displayed before you enter and form part of these Terms for that tournament.
• Entry fees are paid in cryptocurrency on-chain and are non-refundable once a tournament has started, except as described below.
• If we cancel a tournament, entry fees are refunded to the paying wallet. We may cancel, postpone, or void rounds when market data is unavailable, unreliable, or when integrity issues arise.
• Scoring is based on tracked trades on eligible markets during the tournament window, using the data sources described in the tournament rules. Standings become final at finalization; manifest scoring errors may be corrected before prizes are paid.
• Prizes are paid in cryptocurrency to your payout wallet. You are responsible for any taxes on prizes and for any network fees applicable to your own transactions.

• Athlos is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Polymarket, Chainlink, Solana, or any other platform, oracle, or protocol referenced on the Service.
• You must comply with the terms of any third-party platform you trade on. Access restrictions on those platforms are your responsibility.
• We rely on third-party and on-chain data to score tournaments. Outages, delays, or errors in those sources may affect scoring, and we may pause or adjust competitions in response, as described in tournament rules.

The following will result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and account termination:

• operating multiple accounts or entering the same tournament with wallets you do not own;
• collusion between participants, coordinated trading, or sharing of accounts;
• wash trading, self-dealing, or any trading intended to manipulate scores rather than reflect genuine market activity;
• exploiting bugs, scoring errors, or data-feed failures instead of reporting them;
• using funds derived from unlawful activity, or using the Service to launder funds.

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
• We may pause entries, freeze leaderboards, or delay payouts where reasonably necessary to investigate integrity, security, or data issues.

Participation involves significant risk, including total loss of entry fees and of funds you trade on third-party platforms. Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. You participate entirely at your own risk and acknowledge the matters described in our Risk Disclosure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Athlos and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost funds on third-party platforms, missed trading opportunities, or losses caused by wallets, networks, oracles, or platforms we do not control; and (b) our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the entry fees you paid to Athlos in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Athlos and its operators harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your trading on third-party platforms, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

The Athlos name, logo, and the Service's design, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them except as needed to use the Service normally.
